OUR
STORY

Many people long to have a relationship with God but have never truly experienced God or His Son, Jesus, in this way. They think that God is impersonal, that He resides above the clouds somewhere and that He may occasionally hear their prayer or bother to look in their direction. But the God of the Bible is anything but that! He is a real God who loves real people and wants them to experience Him in real and tangible ways! That’s the God to whom we seek to introduce people!

You might be wondering… how does one family become a church full of people? John and Carolina met residents in the community through organizations like the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. They invited people to their home for neighborhood parties. They set up tents at local festivals and gave away free items like popcorn and cotton candy. From there they asked those who were interested to join the Faith Generation team! In those first days, as it is today, their heart was to reach people in the community and for them to realize that the church is not a club for elite people, the church is for everyone!

Six months later, on February 23, 2020, Faith Generation was officially born having its first Sunday service. Who knew that 2 weeks later the whole country would be shut down due to COVID. But God provided. Faith Generation has been a growing, thriving church ever since!

People often ask, “Why Cape Coral?” When John and Carolina felt God’s call on their hearts to step out and in faith and plant a non-denominational church they were open to wherever God would direct them. After much prayer, fasting and confirmation through scripture they believed God led them to Cape Coral. Cape Coral is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. There are more churches per capita in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade County than in Lee County. There is a great need for more Bible teaching churches in our area. Faith Generation is not here to compete with other churches in this community, it exists to come alongside the other churches to reach people in our city for Jesus!

Before planting Faith Generation, John helped launch a brand-new church called Calvary Fellowship in Miramar, FL. He served on staff as a pastor for 19 years during which that church grew from 7 people meeting in a living room to over 1,500 meeting regularly in their own facility.

Pastor John and Carolina Solaroli

When John and Carolina Solaroli moved their family to Cape Coral in August of 2019 they did not know a single person. They came with their three children and a simple vision to plant a church where people could find hope, healing and a community of other believers that accepted them just the way they are. A place where people could learn the Bible and apply it to their life in practical ways. A church that was more about the people than about buildings or programs.
